One way to get the most out of life is
to look upon it as an adventure.

Hi, Nice to meet you...

I think that it is important to introduce myself so that you know who you are doing business with.  My name is Samantha Knapp and I live with my husband and our 5 children in Ontario, Canada.  My children are such blessings to me and I do everything I can to make their lives a wonderful adventure.  2 of my 5 children have special needs.  My oldest daughter was born with a very rare seizure disorder called Pyridoxine Dependency.  She also has asthma, OCD, Celiac Disease, and was in diapers until she was 9.  She is the reason that I came up with a pattern for cloth diapers in larger sizes.  She is allergic to disposables and I couldn't find quality diapers to fit her.  So, after making the diapers for her, people started asking if I could make them in even bigger sizes.  So, here I am... running a store just for you.  Supplying this important product for so many people.  Just because people are bigger doesn't mean that they have to have second quality products.

My other special needs child is currently 3 years old.  She was also born with Pyridoxine Dependency. Her seizures are very similar to my other daughter's except that she was also diagnosed with Autism and Sensory Integration Disorder.  This is why I have branched out and now offer sensory and autism type toys as well.  Therapists say that we are dealing with more  sensory processing problems than many other parents.  This child doesn't feel pain and craves pressure and rough and tumble play.  She was non-verbal until just recently, and is making GREAT strides at learning to talk.  We taught her sign language early in her life so she was able to communicate when she just couldn't find her words.

I follow my heart when it comes to therapy for my children. I also try to provide as much help as I can.  I do homeschool all 5 of my children, even the normally functioning ones. It makes for a busy life and never a dull moment.

I have been sewing for many years and have a seamstress diploma.  I also have my Early Childhood Education diploma, my Nutrition Consultant Diploma, and I am currently working at learning everything I can about natural medicine.

Years ago, out of desperation, I decided that I needed help with my daughter's seizures.  She was having a lot of problems and I was having a hard time knowing when a seizure would happen.  This was causing her to fall and get very hurt.  So, I applied to various agencies for a Seizure-alert dog for her.  The waiting list was 3 years and I was just not going to wait that long so I decided to train a dog myself. (I have a background in dog training already)  Vincera's River Skye joined our family in January of 2002.  I taught her how to alert for seizures and she is now able to alert BEFORE a seizure happens.  It is a long process for training but it is well worth it.  I will be offering a section within this site to help other people train service dogs for their children. Stay tuned for that or email me if  you cannot wait. It is possible and you CAN do it if you are dedicated. River has full access to all public places and wears a proper service dog jacket. She is part of the family and makes life for both of my Pyridoxine Dependent children more exciting and healthy.

So, as you can see.. I am one very blessed mama.  I homeschool all of my children and this store helps me pay for my homeschooling supplies as well as medical expenses.  So, buying products from me means you are supporting a Work-at-home mother who wants to give her children "the moon".  I am excited to help all of you with  your "special" needs as well.  Email me if you have any questions.

From left to Right.. Raina (5), Asia (10), Corey (13), Raven (7), and Sienna (2)
